Founded in 1996, the British Society for Human Genetics provides a forum for professionals involved in Genetics as a clinical service and research. Its membership is in excess of 1750 and includes a wide spectrum of clinical, laboratory and research disciplines. BSHG is a registered UK charity (No: 1058821). It's roles are defined by it's council and constitution. Minutes of meetings are available here. All human genetics professionals are invited to join BSHG. MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION - TAX DEDUCTIONMembers of the British Society for Human Genetics can claim a tax deduction on their annual subscription. This is approved by the Inland Revenue under Section 201 ICTA 1988 and is backdated to 6th April 1996.
