| Job Description and Person Specification |
| Applications are invited for the position of a cytogeneticist or cytogenetic technologist within the tumour cytogenetic laboratory located in the University Children's Hospital Zurich, Switzerland.
The laboratory acts as a reference laboratory for a number of international trials and currently receives approximately 1500 samples per year from a broad spectrum of childhood and adult neoplasms. We are looking for someone who has a strong motivation for diagnostic tumour cytogenetic work, and possesses proven G-banding analysis abilities. Good English is a prerequisite. The position is available starting on 15th November 2008.
The city of Zurich is situated at the head of Lake Zurich with the nearest skiing region only an hour car or train journey away. It lies within the German-speaking region of Switzerland, and while knowledge of German is advantageous it is not a requirement for the position.
