| Located in the upper North Island, Auckland is home to almost 1.2 million people, which represents a third of New Zealand's population and is the fastest growing area in New Zealand. The Northern Regional Genetic Service is one of two genetic services within New Zealand and covers two thirds of the North Island, serving a population of two million. The service is based at Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand's largest tertiary hospital and has a team of 3 geneticists and 4 counsellors which we wish to expand.
We are looking for a suitably qualified clinical geneticist for a full time post. You will have experience in general genetics. A background in adult medicine with experience in cancer genetics would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite. You must be eligible for Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand www.mcnz.org.nz and the Human Genetics Society of Australasia www.hgsa.com.au
