The training will be shared between the two departments, one post will be based at Guys Hospital the other at St Georges Hospital. The scheme aims to improve opportunities for professional training for new entrants to the field from varied backgrounds including appropriately qualified health professionals. The post holder will contribute, under supervision, to the provision of genetic counselling services and will be given training and educational opportunities appropriate to their personal learning needs including support towards completion of the portfolio for genetic counsellor registration.
