| Auckland, the City of Sails, has something for everyone. The perfect blend of urban city, bush and beach. Auckland City Hospital is located right in the heart of it all.
LabPlus is a major referral laboratory for specialised laboratory tests in New Zealand. The Diagnostic Genetics Department at LabPlus provides a comprehensive diagnostic service for the Auckland region & beyond and is currently expanding.
At present the Cytogenetics section is processing 6000+ specimens per year. The laboratory procedures include all aspects of routine cytogenetics, FISH, MLPA and microarrays and provide the opportunity for rotation through the various molecular areas.
The role will include development of new tests, evaluation of current protocols and support for the Section Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to grow an already established team and add your own scientific style.
Ideally you’ll have hold a BMLSc, MSc or equivalent degree and be eligible for registration with the NZMLS Board as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Salary is on appropriate scale according to qualifications and experience.
